In the short term however the distribution business of the two companies (Enbridge and Union) are different and it will take quite some time to merge and will be carefully monitored as that is regulated by the OEB. So I see Union remaining as an operating entity for an undetermined period of time after the merger, though it is reasonable to expect that jobs will be gradually be shed or moved to Enbridge locations. For the record, I still live in Dodge and we have indeed had more than our fair share of problems for the last 20 years in some ways. Regards.
