If untreated patients with EAA>0.60 and MODS >9, not randomized (for any reason) had a mortality rate of +60%, we can suppose that there is, at least, 54% of randomized patients with placebo died. Then, to obtain 92 (46X2), we have 38% mortality rate with PMX.-------------------------------------------------------It is the same thing up to 60-32%.---------------------------------------------------But I think that the magic number is 56-36% (92) for 20% absolute.
