Sp they need a "starter" mill which can be EASILY and cheaply expanded 2X and which can produce 150,000-200,000 ounces per year.

This wll become clearer as PoG in CAD surges above $1800.   The ore that Windfall is throwing off is very profitable at $1800 CAD even with the long haul costs included.  Recall MTO did this to get started at 1/3 rd the grade and 30 % lower gold prices, so an efficient operator cn pull it off and make it economic at $1800+ CAD.

MM s can manipulate all they want .. but it will be a lost cause because one day the shares will be bid up 50 % when the deal is announced.  Naturally SP will have increased 30 % before that even happens.

When a deal is announced (I'm not talking about MTO in particular - any deal with any company) the shares will trade at the valuation offered by the aquiring company minus a small discount for the uncertain nature of whether the deal will close.

For example if company ABC makes an all stock offer for company XYZ for a 20% premium to the trailing 20 day average of XYZ shares they will trade at just under that premium, and move in lockstep with the aquiring companies share price.  Often the aquiring companies share price will suffer because shareholders don't like the aquisition.
