The human side of all of this...This is a discussion of IBS patients and their struggle to get the generic version of Donnatal and the impact of price increases over the years. Especially with insurance dropping it from the list of approved drugs they cover.
As the Game of Masters progresses, all you shareholder pawns should remember, you are not the true pawns in this particular game but you fund the game and are willing participants. Patients having to put up with the price increases are not willing participants.
Read through the entire 6 pages of text. Sickening. What's clear is
insurance companies are no longer willing to cover prices that are exhorbitant and patients are scrambling to find alternatives.
"Hello all. I too have been lost without my donnatol. Here's what i do, hope it helps you all. Get your doc to prescribe the 2 main meds in the donnatol drug separately. I take
phenobarbital 16.2 mg and hyoscyamine0.125 mg. Pharmacist told me it was worth a try and has been a Godsend to me"
"
Donnatal is still on the market just not generic only brand name. Many pharmacies don't carry brand name anymore because the price is expensive and most insurance won't cover it"
"I was getting
Donnatal from CVS until my insurance excluded it and cost went to $1,863 for 90 days at 2 per day!!!"
