Werner Lake mine
Werner Lake mineThanks for all the articles DryOasis. I have been doing a lot of research myself on EVs and battery metals for a few months now.
Cruz Capital has picked up 7 cobalt assets recently, and the latest featured on Investor Intel is a company called Green Swan.
With all these companies jumping on cobalt deposits, one thing that may separate us from many of the others is that Werner Lake has the pre-existing mine. I'm sure this is not new information for you.
This taken from a previous NR:
Based on provincial government records, the Werner Lake Mine produced 146,386 pounds of cobalt from 1940 to 1944 and the Werner Lake West Mine produced about 10,000 tonnes of cobalt ore between 1996 and 1997.
This is amazing in that there is an existing mine and once the NI 43-101 is completed, perhaps the mine can be brought up to speed relatively quickly (unlike others who may require years to get set up). As Dirt2Oil mentioned, they need to ensure they have battery grade cobalt. If the cobalt is good enough, the difference maker might be the mine and get us to market before everyone else.
Erin should let China Moly know we'll be open for business soon hehe
