RE:Update on ASIS and AVO

RE:Update on ASIS and AVOClarence -
You need to pay closer attention, Avigilon's booth is mostly filled with their own people (I too am at ASIS). Stop and actually count the ratio of Avigilon people to non-Avigilon people (this is easy to do, most of the Avigilon people are wearing separate engraved name badges). Avigilons booth is never empty because it is always filled with Avigilon people.

Many of the non-Avigilon people in the booth have badges from integrators, these are not people "fine tuning coming years purchases", they as just guys like you and i, looking to see what's new, or talk to their buddies at Avigilon.

Attendance at ASIS sucks this year, the place is half empty.  Still, Axis had really good activity in their booth, as does Hikvision, and this is not from their own employees.  Arecont also had a s trong crowd, and so did FLIR the times I walked by.

Avigilon has nothing special. Their imaging is not nigher quality than any of the other mainstream companies.  Avigilons biggest benefit is that they sell a solution that removes the need to worry about compatability, but the tradeoff is that youre locked into using their products to get the full feature benefits.

We are talking with IDIS about signing up. All the quality and benfits of Avigilon without all the arrogance.
