RE:RE:September
RE:RE:SeptemberThe slide in share price I believe is a result of some investors view, that management and the boards resolve to not update shareholders with more frequency and share openly where things are at or arent at. Most shareholders understand that bringing a new disruptive technology to market involves some initial trials before 'getting it right', but being held in the dark without any insight causes some investors to get frustrated. Throw in some market support being pulled and missed milestones and selling starts. Some investors recognize the initial trials and timelines...obviously other dont. Frustration leads to selling. My personal thought is this is where it does help to have some sort of communication lead with shareholders...it isnt too hard to put a eager junior IR person in a seat for $1000/month and 50k options to answer investor calls...and yes you could find a eager, junior IR person right now in Calgary that wants to be involved in an opportunity and take a chance for not much remuneration...frankly it is exactly what they need right now.
Bottom line is that by my calculations the US operation is doing a run rate of about $16-18Million Cdn, profitable and growing. I have heard that mngt is very excited about the growth prospects and the new work outside the Powder Basin, but other than that, don't know much...hoping for an update. To me, the US operations are a bright sign for the company and at least should help to put a floor on the current stock price. But I also realize no one is really here for Gilette (even though it is evident that we should all be paying some attention....) which brings us to the new motor. Management has lost the faith of some investors and need to start announcing some updates and hopefully some positive developments before we see others start to throw in the towel. Those are my thoughts, but I reserve the right to change them tomorrow, ;)
