Maybe not him, but he surely seems close to him! So from my perspective, they are much of the same. Don't let these guys get into to your head. Though yes I admit, concordia is a disaster now & everyone should stay away!
Don't forget, people like latice &/or Cohodes have lost a lot of money in the past! I mean alot! Especially shorting the canadian banks! (which cohodes twitter seems to target) The gains from the Concordia shorts are nowehere near the losses on their other canadian position.
About the margin call. Assuming Thompson made 9 mil (insane!), he had to pay more then half away in taxes. Would you give up nearly 2 years salary for that? Is he able? Pearson couldn't? Thompson is no angel though & I know of several fund managers on bay street that have lost confidence in him. Not to mention a 9mil$ salary!
