RE:RE:RE:RE:info requiredThis is where you guys are making a large assumption without knowing the facts. If you are being honest about what you know then the statement “I think most have come to the realization and accept that Peter Copetti was very much smoke, mirrors and BS.” It is a judgement that many have decided to make based on Peters ambitions, excitement and what he was being told by both a long line of technical people that were advising him and external parties who attended sessions at the UCONN lab.
Consider for the moment that people like Lee Shepherd, Dan DeSimone, Stephane Gagnon and Geoff himself describing POET and what it can do. Peter claimed he was not an excitable guy but listening to technical people advise him on what POET was excited him.
Does anyone remember Adam Chowaniec. When he left the board for health reasons people on this board were very quick to call BS…he left because he gave up on his belief in POET. He died a few short weeks later. Think about that one when you think you know all the answers. You don’t.
Why did Tony Blevins VP of procurement with Apple join the steering committee? That did not happen in isolation. If rumours are true there was a period of investigation that preceded that.
You people assume that Peter was straight up lying and stringing the market along. Well I very much believe that where there is smoke there is fire. So you people have past judgement on Peter. He was guilty all right but not of what you people claim.
POET has come a long way in a very short period of time under Suresh’s leadership. They have amassed a very unique and highly capable team of very specialized people that are there because they see what POET is and recognize that the company is moving forward in bringing new technologies to the market that will have far reaching applications.
