When I first came on this bull board, I had insider information from a GF who worked at Greenhill and that some PE firms were looking at their assets. Your comments that tpg and apollo group are
still left and that others have deals on the table go against what the CEO said in the earnings conference call last month.
Thompson said there is only
one opportunity left in strategic review (and social media knows its not a buyout so it likely, if not a flat out lie, some kind of restructuring. And SM also knows the CEO's next margin trigger on his stock). And Thompson said on the conference call that the outcome would be known "shortly." Well that was over 4 weeks ago....... If you actually listened to the conference call, you would know that only
one opportunity is on the table,
if any at all, so being bullish is one thing but don't flat out lie to anyone here. This was taken directly from transcripts:
Cynthia Guan
"If you could elaborate on what you meant in your earlier remarks about one specific opportunity that you were looking at as part of the strategic review?"
Mark Thompson
"Because of the way this is going, I can’t give you much more than I already have. We’re evaluating one specific opportunity"
