The one thing I'm concerned about is that S7 talks about supplying TV poiwer through their cable whereas the One Connect does not do that. One of the videos mentions that power and Ethernet is connected directly to the TV through their own cables.
I thought s7's patents gave them a lock on dsp reprocessing of any wired video signals. But I could be wrong. Would be important to know that samsung does not need S7 for this. That would be disappointing.
I agree. These TVs have been out for at least 4 months. If they included S7 chips then you would have expected it to made some impact on revenue by now.
I am not as convinced as others that a multibillion dollar company like Samsung is unable to engineer an in house solution to connecting One Connect to the display.
