RE:RE:RE:TMM Presentation - Denver Gold Forum
Have to agree, Backens did look to be a bit nervous during the presentation, but for myself he comes across as a straight shooter, not a lot of excess color or flash, just more on being black & white, presenting the facts, with a solid game plan laid out for Timmins going forward.

With the intentions of these presentations being to bring in some institutional money, hopefully Backens will come away rewarded. For one of the reasons some of Timmins peers are rated much higher in price, is through their shares having heavier institutional ownership, enjoying those ETF's money inflows.

With Backens as an interim CEO, and as someone here had indicated, naming his replacement is likely drawing near, I'll throw out a couple names that may be on the BOD short list, (I would of put Backens on that short list, but have to believe he made it clear to the board that when accepting the CEO position, it would be as an interim only until a replacement was found).

With Lukas Lundin of the Lundin Group being a major shareholder in Timmins Gold,  he of course would be consulted to not only give his approval, but also to give his recommendation of whom he'd like that new CEO to be. Strong business ties with the former CEO of Kaminak, and a present Director of Lucara, would no doubt IMO have Eira Thomas on that short list if she so desired to be available for that role.

The same scenario with another major shareholder in Goldcorp, they would also no doubt also be consulted by Timmins, and perhaps they would suggest in adding one of their top managers to the short list for a possible replacement for Backens. Such as Joseph D ick, who is presently the senior Vice President of Latin America Operations for Goldcorp, and has an resume that covers A-Z in knowledge & experience, (One would have to conclude the odds of a Goldcorp take-out would increase substantially if this was to occur).

As far as Timmins current stock price, either the market is only pricing in AP, or only pricing in SF, they are certainly not pricing in both, and this will almost certainly correct itself over the next 1 or 2 reporting quarters.

Finally, watch the Torex presentation after noting bobofet comments, glad I did. What negativity is brought-up from whom-ever concerning the perils of mining in Guerrero State, has been put to rest in my mine with the acknowledgment ofTorex huge ongoing monetary commitment in the area, along with their positve mining experience in the money-making Guerrero Gold Belt.
