Why Tourmaline (TOU) could acquire Chinook (CKE)

Why Tourmaline (TOU) could acquire Chinook (CKE)
By searching a little about Tourmaline's BoD, I saw that Tourmaline (TOU.TO) has connections with the firm of Peters & Co.

About two months ago, Peters & Co. was hired by Chinook Energy to run a "strategy review process". Chinook (CKE.TO) as you know is a natural gas weighted producer with Montney being its core asset.

It looks that it fits perfectly to Tourmaline's assets in the area...and Peters & Co. connects the two companies.

Another connection between Tourmaline and Chinook is Tourmaline's director Ms. Angevine.
"Ms. Angevine is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Matco Financial Inc. with over 20 years of investment and research experience.  Ms. Angevine also serves on the board of Chinook Energy Inc."
