Noranda Income Fund is a Canadian based income trust. The fund owns the electrolytic zinc processing facility and ancillary assets located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. It produces refined zinc metal and by-products from sourced zinc concentrates. The fund's long-term objective is to maximize unitholder value and provide monthly distributions to unitholders.

RE:RE:RE:Share buyout

RE:RE:RE:Share buyoutIt's a fat finger moment. But I will also expect that anything would be possible given the sensitivity at this juncture. I think people is paying too much attention to the renewal with GC, which I would expect just like another day with the NIF, nothing much would happen – the automatic renewal would likely be the result. But I do expect GC would want to modify the terms to its advantage.

"The most important thing" would be NIF’s profitability in a nascent business environment, and they have been prepared for this for a while. In my view, fluctuations will be expected at the beginning, just like an oil refiner sensitive to the price of oils, this smelter will survive on improved efficiency, and possibly with a sustained dividend yield.
