Medical Marijuana – U.S.A.
A. Background
  • The medical marijuana business in California is estimated about $1 Billion a year according to L.A. Weekly magazine. With 23 States having already legalized marijuana for medical purpose, the potential market for medical marijuana in USA is tremendous.
  • Assembly Bill 266 (“AB266”) has recently been passed in California, with the support of the League of California Cities, Police Unions, Growers, ASA, and many other organizations. According to official commentary on the new legislation, AB 266 spreads regulatory authority around the capitol, establishing a licensing and regulatory framework for medical cannabis under a new “Office of Marijuana Regulation” within the Office of the Governor. Maple Leaf believes AB266 clears away any remaining uncertainty for all marijuana growers in California and it also provides a clear path for next year’s public referendum on the legalization of the recreational marijuana.
  • The Company has engaged 3 key personnel to develop a medical Marijuana growing operation plan in California, U.S.A., as part of the Company’s business strategy.
  • The Company has retained Mr. Joe Rogoway as the Company’s legal advisor. Joseph A Rogoway is the founder of Rogoway Law Group, a boutique criminal defense, business, and cannabis law firm headquartered in Santa Rosa, California with satellite offices in Beverley Hills and Chicago. In addition to being a prominent criminal defense attorney, Mr. Rogoway is a leader in the emerging cannabis industry where his practice includes assisting start-ups with entity formation, transactional matters, and regulatory compliance. The Rogoway Law Groups’ practice areas also include political consulting and advocacy where Mr. Rogoway has a central role in the legalization of cannabis in California. Joe Rogoway is on the board of directors for the Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform, Founder of CAN PAC, the political action committee for the cannabis industry, and member of the California Cannabis Industry Association, the National Cannabis Industry Association, and the NORML Legal Committee.

B. Business Strategy

  • The Company’s strategy is to grow high quality non-contaminated marijuana and using it as a supply base for producing Cannabis oil for both medical and edible purpose.
  • The Company has formed a 100% owned U.S. subsidiary in California named Golden State Green World LLC., to handle its medical marihuana operation in U.S.A.
  • The Company, through its subsidiary; Golden State has signed a joint venture agreement with a newly formed non-profit Collective in California, which has been properly formed and organized as required by applicable law in the State of California to supply its membership with marijuana for medical purposes. Golden State will provide capital and technology to the Collective to build a growing facility and in return, the Collective will pay a leasing fee and consulting fee back to Golden State.
