RE:RE:Understanding the origins of all these old drugsA press release by the company Lumber. Please tell me you are paid to be here and not a fooled investor who want to be right?
When I mean research, I don't mean taking the company press releases as the source!

“Donnatal® is a medication that I have been prescribing for decades. It remains an effective treatment and provides value for the management of symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome,” said Dr. David A. Peura, MD, Emeritus Professor of Medicine atUniversity of Virginia, former President and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Gastroenterological Association (“AGA”) and recipient of the 2011 Julius Friedenwald Medal, the highest honor awarded by the AGA.
The drug is on the FDA's DESI list as a drug that predates the FDaArequirements with respect to clinical trials. It has been under review for decades and yet the FDA is still allowing it to be sold. Why do you think that is?

Researching Concordia's #1 drug, Donnatal is fascinating.
Was a drug acquired by PBM Pharmaceuticals in the US, now called Revive. A non-public company.
The company's web site clearly states their mission;
"At Revive we identify pharmaceuticals with long histories of efficacy and reintroduce them to the market with reinvigorated marketing and sales support..."
They did that with Donnatal, even if the FDA has not found it to be a valid medication for the condition and it on it's hit list. Health Canada doesn't even allow it to be made available in Canada.
After "reinvigorating" Donnatal through price hikes that patients all over the net are complaining about, they sold it to Concordia in 2014 for cash and shares.
