I am looking at the trading history of the stock and honestly, I can't see much merit in praising Mr. Smith. Now, if you want a decent benchmark over the cycles, overlay BXE with Peyto, and then you will gain an understanding of why Smith is not indespensible. Comparable businesses, Peyto seems to have distinquished itself, and I would argue it is attributable to superior Management or less Mis-management.
