I just read the news about the US Patent application and petition to make special. Can anyone with some experience shed some light for me? 

These special petitions are approved mostly because the invention (or product) will significantly enhance society. 

Based on preliminary research this means that the application will be examined within twelve months and a decision on approval of the design/concept will be made. 

Should we take this to mean that by next December that this company could have an approved patented capsule design and could begin commercializing & manufacturing it for release to pharmacies? 

Just looking for feedback.
