Fairfax buying some AIG assets

Fairfax buying some AIG assets---latin America & Europe for $240M
---also mention was made either on BNN or CNBC (I can't remember which) that AIG was undervalued
---with a presumed interest rate increase in  Dec. insurance companies will benefit.
the question is what is Fairfax seeing in latin America & Europe that AIG doesn't see?
