RE:.. from the article Esmeralda history & potentialThe extract was from …… the article Esmeralda history & potential.
If a link were to be available for this article, it may be of further interest.
It is apparent that this article was written at the time when Esmeralda / Hollister were owned by Great Basin Gold (GBG).
Also of interest is that this was written at the time that Paul Huet was a general manager at GBG. Huet comments that the previous owners, Metallic Ventures failed because they tried to mine veins of 1-3 feet in width with 6 foot loaders and were diluted out. “…. We’re experts in narrow vein mining – it’s what we have done all our lives ….we can definitely mine this thing….” Says GBG’s Huet.
Also in this article GBG’s exploration manager Brian Morris said “…. You can drill and drill, and that would come out of our [limited] treasury. Right now we have to stay focussed on Hollister….”
Wisely, PMInvestor08 concludes “…… this is another project with a one year or less payback. Gold grades may also approach 0.70-.90 OPT. I would model this type of output in 2018... but it is possible they could start much sooner…..”
In contrast to GBG, KDX has no comparable treasury limitations to that of GBG. The only limitation could be skilled narrow vein miners which they may not wish to transfer from fire Creek.
However, there may not be any constraints on an immediate start on drilling in order to identify productive high grade narrow veins at Esmeralda?
