RE:RE:Top Pick

RE:RE:Top PickNot sure this is a blessing or a cuse being dubbed the 'new Donville'... well I suppose we share the same first name!  In all seriousness, I have modelled a lot of the research and work I do off Donville and others who focus on high ROE companies.
I recently sold the Capital Ideas fund in our model portfolios because my process differs from Donville's a few key areas.  Namely, I religiously use stop losses to avoid massive losses.  As an example we also held VRX and CXR... making money in VRX and losing a bit in CXR but certainly not riding it to $10 like JDonville.
Anyhow, we have a ~5% weight in CSU across our models and a 10% weight in the CSU deb.  Bit of an odd day today for CSU which I think can be attributed to the Bond takeover... it's on, then it's off then it's on... confusing.  Whether they are successful or not, these guys are the best capital allocators in Canada!  Anyhow, I endeavour to use my BNN platform to highlight companies we own as well as under the radar ones like CZO and DCM.  Happy week, JDV.
