Why be concerned about a reverse split? Why are so many people concerned about a reverse split? Stocks going through a reverse split are usually in trouble and trying to avoid penny stock status. Bombardier was in that position at the beginning of the year when it was originally proposed. The story has changed considerably. Now, split or not the value of the company is the same and the value of my holdings will remain the same. Right now the price of the shares is based on aircraft orders and as long as the orders keep rolling in I'm not concerned if my 22,000 shares at $1.85 become 2200 shares at $18.50. This is much ado about nothing - you can't simply look at what happened after a totally different company did a reverse split because each situation is different.
