La Negra - New South Breccia (Part 2)The first post on this subject matter looked at the main South Breccia section (627500). I showed the potential of 5 million silver ounces, but I noted that I thought I was being very conservative. The length between drill holes at section 627500 and the next 2 sections drilled on either side is around 175m. For my analysis I only used a length of 35m being mineralized. It will likely be more. It is impossible to know how much it will be right now. We will have a better idea once they perform infill drilling on the South Breccia. For example, if the mineralized length extends for 70m, assuming all other assumptions staying equal, we could get 10 million ounces of silver from this part of the South Breccia.
I have since taken a look at the new South Breccia further west, from section 627380 to section 627470. The 3 drilled sections in this area extends over about 200m in length. The South Breccia in these sections is a bit tricky to assess, as section 627380 is fragmented in areas, section 627410 seems to blend together with the primary La Negra breccia and section 627470 shows fragmented mineralization coupled with only having one drill hole. This 200m length of South Breccia needs further drilling to give us a more defined view.
For now, for sections 627380 to 627470 of the South Breccia, I`ve used the following assumptions:
* 150m depth
* 25m width
* 200m length
* 90 g/t silver grade
This type of profile can get us 8 sillver ounces.
As a result, perhaps the South Breccia has the potential of giving us around 20 million silver ounces, depending how extensive (length wise) the main part of the South Breccia really is.
As mentioned before, I would like to see La Negra deposit overall come in at 60 million ounces of pure silver (excluding by-product metals).
It will be up to the main breccia provide the other 40 million silver ounces, if the South Breccia can deilver 20 million ounces.
It is possible that the main breccia could provide the 40 million, but it might be tight.
As a side note, they were suppose drill test 2 new (non-La Negra, non-Promontorio) targets. I didn`t see an update in the NR. They might have dropped those plans due to success at La Negra. It`s not clear if they will test those as part of the new 2,000m extension drilling.
Also, we haven`t heard anything about the 2 projects we will be getting from Pam American. I would like to see them provide an update to the market, even if the the projects have not been selected or are not ready for distribution as yet. Consistent market communications goes a long way to establishing trust with shareholders.
