Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Aphria AGM

RE:Aphria AGMSorry ..did you mean capacity is 7000kg? Not sure what you mean by 70 exactly. Thanks in advance for all the other info. Took a position today.
bmeneses wrote: Just got back from the AGM. Here are some of the points I wrote down:
- Stellar Q1 financials
- Task force will announce Nov 30th, although nothing too conclusive as of yet. They are having difficulties with age, THC allowance, excise taxes, etc.
- They have 52 acres assembled of land for production
- Capacity capability: can produce 70 kilos of medical/rec cannabis
- 100k feet of greenhouse (planning someday to be 1 million feet, which he unofficially promised)
- differentiation: quality in product, utilizing technology
- no pesticides in production, not using organic fertilizer (Vic: not important to consumer)
- need new legislation to allow RCMP shut down the many remaining illegal dispensaries, especially in BC
- assembled brand team to market, RE: Arlene Dickinson appointment to BOD (not in attendance today)
- earliest possibility of rec sales: mid 2018
- further to laws: only Canada Post and Purolator can ship MJ, although long distances pose a problem due to their inability to keep freshness in product (if traveling Toronto to Vancouver for ex.)
- Election US: MJ should soon be legal. RE: IP transfer agreement, Arizona press release today

most important in my opinion, regarding medical distribution channel through Shoppers drug mart.
- only a few LP's can compete in pharma sales, (alluding to executive team's pharma experience, connections)
- talks have already been had regarding this
