RE:Other playsIts good that you bring that up. Tesla has said it would "try" and source its minerals in North America " try " is the key word here. I think if Tesla wants to lower its battery cost it might be forced to shop around for the best prices for its raw materials. The Chinese are the largest suppliers of lithium-ion battery materials in the world and because of the volume they produce I think it will be very hard for Tesla to do it cheaper here, so Tesla might be forced to buy from Chinese suppliers. And if this is the case than another thing to consider is that there is 8 new battery factories being built in China so they will most likely need more raw materials than Tesla, they also have more money to invest then Tesla. So if you were a Chinese company looking for raw materials, where would you invest ?? ... I think as close to home as possible to reduce transportation cost. That's what makes Karakul the perfect project JMHO please DYYDD !!
