I believe an Apicore purchase would be a mistake--most certainly would result in massive dilution with shares getting trounced. And what the heck happened to Knight, haven't heard from them in a while given it's a "strategic partnership." Pehaps Friesen scared them off. Honestly, I would focus all resources on Agg and push that until the patent expiration.
