Looky, Looky, La Pitarrilla Has Iron Oxides

Looky, Looky, La Pitarrilla Has Iron OxidesFrom La Pitarrilla 43-101

"The sulphide mineralisation extends into the overlying Eocene and Oligocene volcaniclastic rocks and felsic sills, where it grades into mixed sulphide–oxide or transitional mineralisation and a more laterally extensive zone of disseminated iron oxide-associated mineralisation"

Bear in mind that La Pitarrilla is only a volcano, with a single rhyolite dome.  Calderas are much larger features.  None the less, if there is an association between iron-oxides and Ag-Pb-Zn sulfide mineralization in the region, then the radiometric survey begins to make a lot more sense.

BTW, Google Earth shows the elevation of the Boleras hillside at about 7,500 feet.  The creek below is at about 7,200 feet, for a vertical drop of abou 100 meters.  Add on another 100 meters maximum for the depth of the holes drill up on the hill and we can estimate that they should have hit the porous tuff at about 200 meters vertical depth , in hole #62.  (All this ignores variation in erosion).

So why did they drill hole #62 to a vertical depth of 550 meters?  I doubt we will find this out next   Monday, as the release schedule is about every 2 weeks and we got the maiden resource last week.  So maybe we will find out on November 14.

What are the chances they hit a deep sulfide interval that shows well on the radiometic survey.  Tic, toc.
