RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:CO2 'The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars' is a 2012 published book. If you want to discredit it, you'd better talk about some of its forecast that are not bonded to 2010!
The controversial 'Hockey stick' graph was published in 1999. And yes it has been controversial. Some studies debunked it and others confirmed it (some are more recent). I guess you do not want to talk about the last ones.
And by the way, if you search recent articles about the global warming 'pause', you'll find a good one that is basically saying that the 'pause' theory is dead : https://phys.org/news/2015-09-global-theory-dead-twitching.html.
Arctic ice is still there and will be for a long time, but it is clearly melting faster then ever.
I am not a Michael E. Mann fan. I am not a fan of anyone. Some politics around global warming might be controversial but it is way less controversial then the game of its deniers who are sometimes funded by fossils energy industry.
It is true, there is doubt about future temperature and its impacts. But there is enough informations to understand the risk of global warming and its effects. Any human being with intelligence and care about future understand that actions against global warming must be taken. When the issue of such an event is uncertain, you just do not wait to see it happening. You act!
