RE:Volume and price increaseThe feeling in the U industry is that the bottom is no more than about a 18 months away. That's fanned investor speculation that opportunistic acquisitions are about to take place ahead of that. You see that prep in China and France which are the main players outside of Cameco and Russia. Areva, France's U zombie--recently brought back to life by the French crown--is clearly desperate to acquire a strategic asset. They've just had billions injected into them to keep them afloat. But considering the absolute disaster they left in Africa, I doubt that they will be considered any more acceptable to Saskatchewan than Russia. If democracy comes to Niger, Areva will be every bit as hamstrung by past indiscretion as CCO. I continue to believe that NXE can easily go it alone, as they have repeatedly said, thereby creating a second Canadian U giant.
