Not good enough to make the gradethanx for that info mouserman, I see you still have a dislike for this project. I hope the new guys running it now can change that old thinking for you.Beer bets always welcome buddy. first off heres a bit from the past. +++++++Pre-production geological reserves were in the order of 1.5 million tonnes, grading 4.83 gm/to. Production records through to mine closure in 1984 indicate just over 800,000 tonnes mined at a reported mill head grade of 3.22 gm/to (881,000 tons @ 0.094 oz/t). It has been estimated that 85,000 oz of gold were mined but only 45,000 oz recovered in the mill. ++++++ That mill head grade of 3.22gm/to should never have been that low because they never got a good understanding of the project. there was mismanagement from the very start so much to say from office staff to mine staff they were not allowed to have any opinions on what was being done at the minesite. There are reports that numerous geo,s advised them on grade control but they were not allowed to listen so for a period of time they continued to mine the lowest grade stopes at about 2 grams/ton. Recovery rates were poor as mouser states because they never did any proper work on getting it better or changing their plan+++++Original metallurgical studies had predicted a gold recovery of over 80%. Monthly gold recovery fluctuated widely but averaged only 53.4% for the life of the mine and only 65.6% in the best year (1984).ANyhoo enough of this longish post. ttfn ohno. ps Maybe buy you a beer the next time we go to the show.
