RE:Analyst estimates for 2017 estimatesAgreed, a buyout may well be in Trevali's future. Mark Cruise has said as much.
I have mixed feelings on the subject. Obviously an announcement gooses the share price and what's not to be happy about? Not much, but a buyout could cap the return on our investment. I'm beginning to think that given time Trevali could get to the buyout price all on its own--or better yet, get to this hypothetical buyout level and THEN be bought out!.
Things are looking up. Trevali has gotten a nice shot of blue sky projection recently--the Santander drilling results have been spectacular and combine nicely with the commercial rollout of Caribou.
Trevali management is producing big time and the zinc bull is heating up. If zinc breaches $1.20, holds, then does the same at $1.25 and $1.30 the game changes and our hypothetical Trevali acquirer will have beaten us out of major upside. It could happen!
It's not a scenario I'm counting on--things have to come together just right. I figure it's a 4-1 dog to happen but those are better odds than we would have given six months ago.
Cheers.
