Kootenay Silver Inc. V.KTN

Alternate Symbol(s):  KOOYF

Kootenay Silver Inc. is a Canada-based exploration company engaged in the discovery and development of mineral projects in the Sierra Madre Region of Mexico. It is focused on the expansion of its silver resources, new discoveries, and the near-term economic development of its priority silver projects located in mining districts in Sonora, state and Chihuahua, state, Mexico, respectively. Its projects include La Cigarra Silver Project, La Negra Silver Project, Promontorio Silver Resource, Columba Silver Project, and others. The La Cigarra silver project is located in the state of Chihuahua in the renowned Parral Mining district in north central Mexico. The La Negra silver discovery is situated only 7 kilometers north of the Promontorio Silver Resource within the Promontorio Mineral Belt, in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The Promontorio Silver Resource is situated on the Promontorio Mineral Belt Property that includes the La Negra silver discovery, located in the state of Sonora, Mexico.

Initial observations and thoughts - Ram Zone

Initial observations and thoughts - Ram Zone

Ram seems to have 1 primary structure/zone and multiple sub-zones. It looks like the main structure has strong continuation, while it looks like the sub-zones are intermittent.

Let`s call the main Ram structure/zone, Vein 2.

The structures are downplunging to the west. The main Ram structure goes to the surface (based on trenching, soil and grab sample work done at the surface by Northair). One or two of the sub-zones likely goes to the surface also.

The very north part of the main zone (of the 400m drilled) showed 166.5 g/t Ag over 6.0m and 80.14 g/t Ag over 9.3m.

To the south, 400m, the main zone (Vein 2) showed 110.8 g/t Ag over over 4.6m.

Throughout the 400m, in between the 2 points, the main zone showed the following (from N to S):

* 83.00 g/t Ag over 4.45m

* 57.33 g/t Ag over 4.2m

* 141.25 g/t Ag over 4.5m (within 58.86 g/t over 16.5m)

* 190.30 g/t Ag over 3.0m (within 89.83 g/t over 18.0m)

* 38.37 g/t Ag over 12.0m

Take a look at the pink circles on this old Northair map. Mineralized windows are exposed, through the quarzite rock, going down the mountain (throughout the 3.8 km Ram system). It strongly suggests that the downplunged depth of the mineralized veins/structures is quite significant. As you can see, the mineralized bedrock was exposed for at least 300 – 500m from the top of the mountain/anticline hinge line.

For my analysis, I am using a downplunged depth for the main Ram zone of 200m. This is potentially extremely conservative. The downplunged depth could end up being 500m or far greater, which would substantially increased the resource profiled below.

For the main Ram zone (Vein 2) I am using the following assumptions:

* width - 6m

* lengh - 400m

* downplunged depth - 200m

* silver grade – 110 g/t Ag

These assumptions would get us around 6 million silver ounces for the main Ram structure for the first 400m length.

I expect the grade of all of the veins to increase with depth.

As noted, it looks like the other zones are intermittent. You can see Vein 1 in DH 16-07. You can find Vein 2 in DH 16-06 (N side) and DH 16-09 (S side). You can find Vein 4 and Vein 5 in DH 16-09.

Here are the assumptions for the 4 intermittent sub-zones:

* Vein 1 – 5m width, 100m depth, 100m length, 70 g/t Ag grade

* Vein 3 – 5m w, 150m d, 200m l, 75 g/t Ag grade

* Vein 4 – 4m w, 100m d, 100m l, 70 g/t Ag grade

* Vein 5 – 4m w, 100m d, 100m l, 70 g/t Ag grade

Using these assumptions, collectively, the sub-zones are probably worth about 2.3 million silver ounces.

6 million + 2.3 million = 8.3 million

We are looking at something like 8 million silver ounces for this 400m area, using the assumptions above.

We`ll have to wait for further drilling to firm up these assumptions.

Also, Ram zone is 3.8 km (3,800m) long. We have only drilled 400m thus far.

We are looking at the potential of a large system here.

3,800m / 400m = 9.5

Can we replicate the results from these initial 400m drilling, throughout the Ram system?

8.3 million ounces * 9.5 = 79 million silver ounces for Ram Zone alone???
