the run up in long term rates post Trump may help to reduce the accrued Pension costs - not sure if the rise in rates to date though has taken them above Dec 31st 2015 numbers or just returned them to it. either way, the trend up in rates could wipe out half the pension shortfall with the stroke of a pen
