It's midnight in China... six p.m. in London, New York/Chicago traders are on Thanksgiving break...so who the hell is buying zinc which is $1.2750 as I write?
I'm on board with the narrative that Chinese speculators are gambling in the metals markets--well documented behaviour at a contrast with European and American trading dominated by professionals struggling to keep up with the insanity.
Nothing we can do but sit back and enjoy. But with most of the actors offstage I do wonder who's fueling the action...right now.
