On Regulation and Distribution: Why OGI is primed.Marijuana will most likely start out more heavily regulated and then ease up in the future.
It makes sense that Rec is regulated because you really need to know how much THC/CBD is in the product.
Or else it could be harmful, some people could trip out way too hard getting a high THC product by accident. Maybe they think they are getting a White Widdow for example and know how it hits them usually, but this particular grower has a higher THC concentration in it. It truly has to be regulated for it to become the market it is supposed to be. This way, people will be able to trust the product more and feel more confident they are getting the same level of a high as the last time they had that xact product.
If you're doing shots of 40% liquor and know your limit to have a good time is 5 shots for example, then you know you're not going to accidentally get way too drunk. But if you're doing shots that range form 30%-60% and you really don't know the exact concentrations, then it could be bad news.
This is the Canadian Government setting a standard for the world here..

Or don't, becasue for "Production" the only option they give is Regulated through LP's.. the answer is there.
That is why the task force is going to announce that LP's have the designated production. And for selling, well, it could range from pharmacies get medical, to dispensaries are able to register for a license and only sell LP weed, or individual provinces make their own distribution decisions.
But either way, LP's get sole distribution rights because they are regulated.
That is why OGI will be minimum $6.00 in December, and many more times that next year.
