Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The LP Stocks are news driven

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The LP Stocks are news drivenThe closing of a bought deal (especially one that was oversubscribed) typically will not result in downward pressure. In fact, the closing of a deal will almost always either resume a run or start a new one. Especially in the case of APH's most recent raise.

You may may not know this MomentumMan, during the time these deals are 'open' the company is on a news release blackout period. The closing of the deal then opens every door for news to begin flowing again. Everyone has stated several times that these LPs are news driven.

APH has close to 100 million now. You don't think there are some juicy news releases on the horizon that will reveal what the plan is for all that money? There are several LPs that all raised around the same time which means they will all be closing shortly. The industry has been catching its breath after things got crazy. Consolidation is healthy; but I think this resting period is almost done.

Lastly, I don't think I've heard of a raise without a holding period on the new shares. Typically it is 4-6 months.

MomentumMan wrote: Exactly where in the NR does it say there is a hold period associated to this bought deal?

Yesterday you were so confident this wasn't going below $5 and today was the day it would start moving up. What happened?

Short sell at $5 and use your new shares to cover above $4. It is called making money. There are 101 ways to skin a cat.

TripleBagg3r wrote: Wtf are you talking about, you make no sense, the bought deal is supposd to close today or very soon, there isnt going to be any more downward pressure from that and furthermore bought deal shares have a lock in period and they didnt invest it at $4 to flip it at $5
MomentumMan wrote: The only news I know of is $4.00 bought deal financing. Once that gets announced I would expect a dip into the low $4's as bought deal holders short sell it down to easily cover with their crisp new shares. I will wait to see how that goes before re-entering.
