RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sniffing around here
I read my post again and don't see anything where I said getting $1 billion is a bad thing.
I have a very substantial position in GRZ, the majority of which was purchased in 2008. My reasonable expectation to get about $7 per share as a dividend from the award and mining data. That doesn't sound bad.
My point was, once that money is given back to share holders, as has been promised by the comany for years (and is in writing), it won't be worth $15 or $45 per share.
The share value will be based mostly on speculation. They have a piece of land, that will need hundreds of millions of dollars to develop into a mine, plus time. Then discount that by 55%.
Don't forget to add in the fact that this is in Venezuela - a very corrupt, broken, unstable government - which might be gone tomorrow - which has a very bad track record when it come to international business relationships.
This mine might turn out to be an epic winner. This could be a great example of Venezuela's turnaround. We will see.
For me it's a no-brainer. Even if I end up getting half the dividend I'm expecting, I'll make out very well on that alone. At that point my shares are free and they can ride on the possibility of very large payoff if all goes well with the mine.
I think the same is true buying the stock here at around $4 (GDRZF). If you think you'll get $4 dividend, your shares can ride for free.
