You are correct that Amazon Go has not mentioned wifi, however, they haven't mentioned what technology they are going to use for their non-checkout grab and go stores. However, wifi seems far more realistic than cellular and I would suggest that you know that already. For this technology to work, everyone needs to be on the same network at the same time and every customer will need to be tracked along with every product in the store. This will require a very stable and uniform wireless experience. Wifi3 seems like one of the few productst that can deliver according to these specifications.
Secondly, we're both on the same page about driver technology. Amazon Go has nothing to do with automotives. But, will require some fantastic wifi drivers that consistently monitor the activity of each customer while providing wifi security for the overall enterprise.
You see this as a square peg and round whole - I see this as an ideal situation for wifi3 for this application will not require the highest level of data streaming, but a consistent reliable, secure network. I am not saying this is our F500 - but it certainly sounds like it could be.
