airforce has greater needs and concerns than to have a fleet of BBD jets sitting around. Pilots need a minimal amount of hours per month, that is fuel and maintenance costs on the Globals, they work quite well and are not that old compared to the airforces needs nor flying around mostly empty. Flew on them quite often when I was in the military as it has to fly empty or just with one person. The current three Airbus' will need replacement at some point but they need to have the capacity to fly more than 130 soldiers and equipment to distances that far exceed the CSeries range.

Yes it would be great to have all these BBD aircraft but lets be realistic with some of these comments and comparisons.

Last point government aircraft belong to the Airforce, so it is there budget that has to absorb the purchace.
