Interesting.  Thanks for the info.  I called the broker that I used for this order (RBC) and they claim that it's on a first-come-first-serve basis.  I'm not convinced that the customer service rep knew for sure.  FWIW, I'm also an accredited investor, and this order was placed in a business account.  The rep claims neither factor gives priority for share allocations.  Fortunately the shares traded below the offering price, so I was able to get the shares that I wanted.  I'll likely sell in a few months, then purchase on the open market again after the next, inevitable offering is announced.
