RE:Beautiful True, however, Tesla (and don't forget about their partner Panasonic) are years ahead of any other auto or battery manufacturer in North America and actually even the rest of the world when it comes to the planned output of battery capacity from Gigafactory 1. Their planned annual output in GWh will require hundreds of billions of cells in N.A. alone which will eventually need to be remade into fresh, new cells once they loose their ability to hold a charge. This "Circular Economy" derisks them from being linked to environmentally and socially irresponsible mining operations around the world. Because Tesla is a purely electric startup from day one, they don't have to worry about abondoning expensive legacy investments such as internal combustion drive train manufacturing facilities and equipment, where as the rest of the auto world is now just starting to play catchup in the battery powered segment by announcing battery factory plans of their own. Of course AMY could license their tech to other automakers who are desperately trying to throw a piston in Tesla's progress, but I truly believe that Tesla/Panasonic are ready to ask AMY out on a date then hopefully move her into Gigafactory 1 with them as soon and technically and economically possible. AMY could become a tenant of the Gigafactory and handle the recycling of cells at the site. Tesla/Pansonic would disassemble the spent packs and modules and hand AMY the cells for 100% recovery of 100% pure cathode materials. Either way, AMY is in the club and it's anyone's guess as to who will take her home ;) stay tuned friends.
