Bombardier versera 90 millions US a SkyWest pour compenser la perte de valeur de 76 jets regionaux CRJ200 appartenant a ce transporteur americain.
Ce paiement permettra de mettre fin aux ententes en vertu desquelles Bombardier garantissait la valeur residuelle des appareils de 50 sieges. L'avionneur qubcois estime ainsi «eliminer ce passif futur un escompte considerable».
La compagnie aerienne a indiqu mardi qu'en depit de ce versement de Bombardier, elle devra enregistrer une charge de depreciation de 440 490 millions US sur ses CRJ200.
Ces appareils seront remplaces par des Embraer E175 de 76 places et des Bombardier CRJ700 de 70 places.
SkyWest est le plus important exploitant d'avions CRJ au monde avec 278 appareils, dont 157 CRJ200.
