RE:RE:RE:RE:Great Lakes Graphite Provides Samples for Pebble Bed Reactor If GLK is able to step into this market, it would be extremely advantageous. This market is normally filled with the "Vein graphite". Thermal vein graphite may offer superior performance since it has slightly higher thermal and electrical conductivity, which result from its high degree of crystalline perfection. Vein graphite also has the highest degree of cohesive integrity of all natural graphite materials. High cohesive “energy” means that vein graphite is easy to mold and can be formed into solid shapes without the aid of a binder addition. This market is normally controlled by the Sri Lanka area vein graphite. However, technology will not "wait" for a specific graphite to be mined. Rather, technology will move on and use other products that work. What I am saying is that the technology will not wait for a ZEN to produce vein graphite, but they will substitiute another form of graphite if its available and works to a certain degree of efficiency.
