Sometimes you'll see, for example, a bid lot size of 18, meaning 1800 shares on the bid. But in level 2 you'll only see 900 shares on the bid, meaning there's another 900 shares actually on the bid not showing up on level 2. So then when you look at level 2 data for other prices, you can't be too sure there aren't twice as many shares or more than what's showing. That's all
