RE:Congratulations PVGAfter construction the EPCM (Engineering Procurement Construction Management) contractor commissions or tests all of the components of the project and when the subsets reaches the designed performance level agreed between the owner and the engineer, the project is considered commissioned and handed over to the owner to operate. Commissioning of a mining project is quite often subject to setbacks with either minor or major deficiencies that must be addressed prior to acceptance by the owner. Normally the corrective costs are born by the owner but the delays can delay the official hand over of the plant and often the handover triggers the start of repayment of capital to the lenders. The ramp up period can range from a few weeks to a couple of years if there are major design flaws. i believe that the Brucejack mill design has been tested through the bulk sample and the mining method is conventional so although there may be minor bottlenecks I expect the Brucejack mine to have a fairy quick and successful start up and commissioning.
