whatever it's worth...
whatever it's worth...I've managed to find information about the issues during some google sessions... reading and translating as much as possible. (Local sites, government sites) So I have been sending random emails to the company. They've responded well, getting back to me on pretty much every email. So at one point they asked me who I am and they'd rather have a phone call with me, as I'm asking a lot of questions.
I said sure, here's my details... and reiterated (not to mislead) that I'm very small time retail investor.
Today comes and hey, I get a phonecall from Uruguay while I'm driving. Pull over and take the call... and WTF it's Mr. CEO himself. OK. Spoke with him for while, around 40 minutes. Didn't mind questions and didn't shy away really.
Recreational is kind of thier side gig. I'd think of them almost like an Aurora. These guys have 100 acres of space they want to mainly use for medicinal oil extracts, and the other industrial materials that hemp provides... he spoke of the ground water capability and that water does not cost alot like up here. Once the irrigation is in, there is no cost going forward that's a factor. In the winter season still seeing plenty sun for greenhouses. They are in the summer right now tho.
They have partnerships with the largest agricultural group in the country, who has expertise in large scale agro.
First sales from this hoping H2/17.
Currently producing about 160kg of recreational a month.. to about 200 per month by end of 2017. They could produce up to about 1000kg per month without needing to expand the current operation.. , which is about 1/3 the current estimate of the recreational market in the country. It's being capped but I hope once they see the revenue coming in that will change. it is said president wants a new presidential jet too....
There is an analyst who has initiated coverage, I didn't get the name but I expect we'll hear something on that front.
They are in the South American Trade pact... Brazil Argentia.. pretty huge markets. Easily comparable to North America regarding consumption... there is talk that it could overtake SOY as a number two export, behind Bovine, which you guessed it.... would love to eat hemp.
Perimiter security detail is government provided. They have further private security measures on premises.
Issues arising are mostly beureaucratic in nature and due in part to a President who is against drugs, some saying remnant of a Nixon era of thinking way past due... so they're trying to make it clear they don't promote drugs in any way shape or form by passing the law, by holding it back saying we're not promoting drugs,...
Then you got the pharmacies who are leveraging this into an opportunity to use it to gain on thier own agenda. they've asked for things in the past and now that they're being "forced" to sell cannabis they'd like to be heard.
The people are like give us the dank already, and it seems like a fever pitch is being reached.
I don't think it's some smokescreen company, and like to beleive they are working hard to make something happen. Long conversation that left me with a positive sentiment.
As the new kid on the block they've got their work ahead....but even days like today, it seems like it's holding up.
Good luck to everyone.
