Argentina's mining will continue without retentions....
Argentina's congress approves income tax reform, leaving out the opposition plan to reinstate the 5% export tax on mining.
 
Sergio Uac, Governor of San Juan, stated that "mining will continue without retentions because it implied legal uncertainty, which I believe is the most complex condiment that we can show to international investors". He also said that "export withholdings of metalliferous and non-metalliferous minerals are eliminated" (translation from Spanish news source).
