Lot of speculation going on. If you read the Canopy Growth BB, certain posters are claiming that CGC is about to buy Emblem with the money they raised. The last purchase they did was share swap only, so speculation is that this one will be cash & shares. Lol.

I have strong doubts, but truly I don't understand why EMC took such a huge jump while CGC fell.

Why would EMC even entertain anything this early out of the gate. Yet every man has their price. Perhaps it's cheaper to buy now than a year from now. Who knows, but something is going on.

There's no way CGC is looking at EMC lol.  If anything they'd be watching ACB because it's now a race for the most growing space to feed the recreational market.

Well I doubt that CGC and EMC are in talks, but a greater possibility than CGC looking at ACB.

If you recall the interview by CEO of CGC when he was on BNN, he made it very clear that they have no interest in acquiring more weed growing companies.
What they are interested in are companies that are uniquely positioned with the ability to develop acceptable delivery technologies.  He was talking about developing drugs that will be reimbursed by health plans. This is where Stewart and EMC new oil extraction license comes in. Nobody even comes close to what this company can deliver and the ties they have with the Liberals. Furthermore EMC's plan will have more growing space by 2018 than almost anyone else in the sector. Double bonus.
