RE:Hold on FolksVery poorly thought out Winter.
First of all you have no idea how much value was attached to the gold in the price going back to June. That is a complete guess on your part. Strangely I actually think you overstated it's value at that point because no one was worried about it, most would not have even noticed it because very few people take the time to read financial statements beyond the revenue line.....and sometimes the profit line.
The gold property now on it's own will be valued by the market. The fact that a large company has land staked around it tends to tell me it has some value. It is pretty obvious that at that time the company did not have the finances to take on both projects, but with the help of APL and the ability to open so many revenue streams in the first few months of commercialization, they now believe the time is right.
Btw, no one has stated you will "get rich" from the Gold spin off, what they have said though is it is "free money" to shareholders. Do you dispute that? The shares will be spun off at a ratio to CNZ shares so let's do some quick math. I am going to use Dart's 1 share for every 3 number to calculate, who knows if that is correct. Based on approximately 25 million shares that would have the Gold company start at 8.3 million shares outstanding. Probably some shares given to CNZ also so let's round up to 10 million shares. If the Spin out opens at 40 cents that puts the market cap of the spin out at only 4 million dollars, a valuation that could easily be achievable based on the size of the asset and current price of gold.
Now let's take the 40 cents as value to shareholders. Again using 1 for three that means a shareholder with 10k shares gets 3300 shares in the spin out. So that works out to $1320.00 of free value. With the stock price currently at $1.15 that puts the initial value of the spin off the same as an 11% dividend. You will not get rich at that but is it a nice bonus for being a shareholder? Absolutely it is. Also, with my calcuations putting the gold company at only a 4 million dollar market cap do you think there is a chance for that valuation to increase especially with such a small float?? Of course it could. Especially since Gold has been hammered in the last six months and could easily have a much better year in 2017.
The whole point of these calculations is to prove how far off I think you are by stating the value of the spin off could be 2 cents per share or less. This is math and not guesswork like your estimation was made with. You stated you used logic, but logic is normally supported by facts and not guesswork!
