Chances are tomorrow is your last or maybe second last day to get shares for your tfsa top up before spin off announcement in my opinion. It might be worthwhile to overcontribute for the remaining three days of 2016 and purchase shares at current levels, while paying only 1 percent per month overage charge (pro rated for 3 days). $5500.00 is the new alloted total for 2017.
